After living in the same home for years, I decided to invest in a "fixer-upper" home to eventually move into. Once I had the home's electrical wiring inspected, I learned that it needed a lot of upgrades to prevent fires. While I recruited a professional electrician to perform the upgrades, I watched him perform his work closely, because I am always eager to learn something new.
